Maine State House, Augusta, Apr. 11th 10am

For decades, the Passamaquoddy Tribe at Sipayik have been living through a drinking
water crisis. With boil-water and health advisories regularly sent to their homes, Tribal
members fill jugs from a pump ten miles away, receive donation deliveries, or buy bottled
water for drinking, cooking and other everyday uses. The Passamaquoddy Tribe is currently
seeking to address this health issue through legislation with LD906. The Passamaquoddy
Tribe will be giving updates at the Cross Cafe at 8:30am, and a rally in support of clean
drinking water and tribal sovereignty begins at 10am at the State House.

A bus leaves from Sipayik to Augusta at 6am
